The primary suite is upstairs with cathedral ceilings and a king-size mattress that looks out over the property. The second en suite bedroom also features a king-size mattress, with the third bedroom being cozier featuring a single twin bunk bed and a desk, perfect for children and adults alike. Upstairs there are two full bathrooms. The first is a full bathroom with a shower and a washer/dryer accessible from the primary bedroom and the second floor landing for easy access from all of the bedrooms, with an additional full bathroom located off the hallway. Both bathrooms are stocked with Public Goods products.

Bounded on one side by the Roundout Creek, there are walking paths mowed throughout the meadows, and you’re invited to explore the entire property – including the small orchard that produces a particularly bountiful harvest of Asian pears every fall! The large patio, with its breathtaking views of the “Gunks”, is perfect for outdoor dining or living, and there’s a level lawn for outdoor games between the barns.. We love supporting local businesses, makers, and artists so we asked local curator Laurie De Chiara – who had galleries in NYC and Berlin before opening ArtPort in Kingston – to hand-selected and placed artwork throughout the home from local artists. (Nearly) everything you see on the walls is available for purchase, and we’re happy to share prices and further details!

> Pet Friendly but Meticulously Cleaned

We love to welcome well-behaved dogs, but do ask for an additional $150 fee per pet per stay to help us with additional cleaning and wear and tear – and, of course, would hope you would pick up after your dog as you would at home! We thoroughly wipe down and vacuum all surfaces between stays to ensure a clean stay for all of our guests.

This property serves as the HQ for the Upstate Curious Team at Compass, available primarily to clients (current and past), partner agents from other areas, and other friends! As the leading real estate team in the Hudson Valley and Catskills – spread out across 12 counties! – the choice of a physical space to host our clients and events was very important to us. In this property, we found a “home” that we think represents some of the best this area has to offer, both on the property itself and in the surrounding area. Note: the “Curious Cottage” is also on this property, an additional two bedroom/one bath space with a fenced-in yard that’s also available to rent.

Other things to note

Our backyard is not fenced in from the driveway out to the driveway and street. Also note that there are two homes on this property, both owned by Upstate Curious. While the property and land is expansive (the farmhouse and the cottage are quite far apart and can’t be seen or heard from each other), the very long driveway to the street is shared as is the area around the barns and walking trails!.
